The irony is most of the time people don’t even know they need help. Deepest traumas and struggles are masked by one commonly used word- STRESS. But its more than that. Anxiety is seen as weakness and panic attacks as attention seeking behavior. Emergency room becomes the only place where the situation comes to light and many times it becomes too late. All of this is not restricted to any single age group. Struggles are real and start as early as childhood and can take over people in any age group. Teenagers struggle the most between changes in body, hormones, academic decisions, confusions, comparisons and the list goes on. Men have performance pressures. The responsibility as a provider is already overwhelming in a demanding life. They are brought up with a myth that they have to always be strong. They are not taught to share their feelings. Failures pull them down and they need help too. They need to know that seeking help is not sign of weakness but is a step of bravery and wisdom. Women are oppressed since after birth. Gender based comparisons starts at home early and carries on even they accomplish higher education and unparalleled feats, not to mention the pressure of performing for family, children, husband, in-laws and bosses at work places. One good thing that helps women survive is that they know how to share their feelings. But it’s time for them to come out of survival mode and step into wellness and thrive. Elderly in our nation struggle with loneliness. They cease to engage with others after a certain age or retirement. There is a lack of awareness towards healthy ageing, developing and maintaining functional abilities to live well, independently and getting involved in adding to the community with their experience, wisdom and knowledge. Life is demanding and generations are sandwiched between elderly and children, not to mention long demanding working hours. There is a major gap found for proper care centers which can provide the elderly with much needed care and activities, and fellowship with similar age people. **Vo1ce Of The One Calling Foundation** steps out to reach everyone with awareness and education to understand **when, why, how and who may need help**. We want to make available free counselling and restoration support to anyone who may need it especially the underprivileged. We don’t want to provide counselling services only when it is too late. We want to **actively reach out** to our children, youth, adults and elderly and build a place of connection and communication before it becomes a dire necessity. We aim to create and connect groups and facilitate people as they go through the different seasons and vulnerabilities of life. We focus on reaching out to schools, colleges, universities, coaching centers, residential societies, villages, and old age homes with mental health awareness, education, and counselling support.
